1. Visiting claytor Nature Study Center (5/5/15)
The 2nd graders had an AWESOME time today. At the CNSC the 2nd graders almost immediately traded in their shoes for a pair of rubber boots! We used these boots to go on a cool nature scavenger hunt and to search for some pretty special animals in the Big Otter River. After lunch we wrapped up our day by learning more about animal adaptations (specifically, the beaver) and completing a couple of animal themed crafts.
If you enjoy being outdoors, walking trails, and learning more about nature and you've never been to the Claytor Nature Science Center, you should check it out. It is open to the public from 8:30 am -5:00 pm.
