Initial hypotheses of the 2A group.
The first pumpkin in!
We learned that our hypotheses will sometimes change as we investigate!
The 2B group forms their hypotheses.
Hold the pumpkin on the bottom of the tank. 5-4-3-2-1! Let go....and.....they floated!
We had a change with this group as well.
As we continue, we will test larger and larger pumpkins!
I would say that about 98% of ALL of my students (in all grades) think that the weight/size of the pumpkin will determine whether it sinks or floats. What do you think?
